Mr. Soriano obtained his Master of Laws from Niigata University (Japan) in 2005, his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Santo Tomas in 2002 and his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Santo Tomas in 1994. He is a Professor of Intellectual Property Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution at the Faculty of Civil Law of the University of Santo Tomas and was a professor of Pharmacy Jurisprudence at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the same university. Prior to engaging in intellectual property law practice, he was a Food & Drug Regulatory Officer at the then Bureau of Food and Drugs. He handles patent matters, food and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, and IP enforcement cases.

He is a member of the Congress of Fellows of the Center for International Legal Studies (Austria) and the Japan International Cooperation Center. He has conducted lectures on intellectual property law for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) for lawyers in the Philippines and acted as speaker on international commercial arbitration, mediation and alternative dispute resolution. He is fluent in Japanese.
