Ms. Reyes-Rara obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1990 and her Bachelor of Science in Legal Management from the same university in 1986. Ms. Reyes-Rara’s extensive experience in the field of intellectual property has made her a valued adviser on intellectual property protection and enforcement.
She is the Chairperson of the Anti-Counterfeiting Committee: East Asia and Pacific Subcommittee of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and is the Vice President for Internal Affairs of the Intellectual Property Professors and Researchers Organization of the Philippines (IP-PRO PHIL). She has been recognized by Asialaw Leading Lawyers as Leading Lawyer in Intellectual Property in 2009. She has been revising the “Revised Penal Code” by Luis B. Reyes since 1990 and was a Professor of Criminal Law at the Far Eastern University-De La Salle University Joint JD-MBA Program. She also served as host-legal consultant of a public affairs program on radio for several years.
She has conducted lectures on intellectual property protection in the Philippines and abroad, and for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) for lawyers in the Philippines. She is a member of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines (IPAP), International Trademark Association (INTA), Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) and Licensing Executives Society (LES).
